Over the summer of 2013 LBI real estate home sales remained steady despite summer normally being a slower sales season. Contrary to what many believe, summer can be a very slow time for real estate closings. This is partly due to buyers wanting to close on the property BEFORE summer so they can enjoy it! As Hurricane Sandy falls further into memory, the LBI real estate market continues to strengthen and improve overall. Barnegat Light Real Estate Sales in the Third Quarter  of 2013 reflect this improvement.

Barnegat Light Real Estate Sales Third Quarter 2013

Sales of single family homes in Barnegat Light for July, August and September of 2013 are as follows:

  • Seven homes sold in Barnegat Light
  • The average price of a single family home was $803,214
  • On average, homes spent 118 days on the market.

Home prices varied with the lowest sale being $507,000 and the most expensive sale being $1,650,000. An encouraging point can be made that the most expensive sale was an oceanfront tear down showing that buyers are willing to invest in the LBI real estate market.  All totaled, over $5,500,000 worth of homes sold in the Barnegat Light NJ real estate market!

The average sales price of a single family home increased int he third quarter which has been the trend since Hurricane Sandy. This improvement is reflected elsewhere in the LBI real estate market as home prices rise and buyer confidence continues to grow.
