The Harvey Cedars real estate market showed strong activity during the second quarter of 2015. Harvey Cedars registered the most sales of any of the northern towns on Long Beach Island, and maintained a high average and median sales price. The high levels of activity in the Harvey Cedars real estate market are reflective of the current trends prevailing on Long Beach Island with the improved market activity at a higher average sales price. Harvey Cedars real estate second quarter sales in 2015 were as follows:

- The average sales price of a single family home was $1,149,417
- On average, homes spent 84 days on the market and sold for 92 % of their listing price.
The least expensive home to sell was 2 W. 82nd St., which was a four bedroom, two bath home trading at $795,000. This home spent 136 days on the market, and sold for 94.7% of its listing price. The most expensive home to sell was 5608 Holly Avenue, which was a four bedroom, 3 ½ bath home selling for $1,700,000. This home sold quickly in only 42 days, but sold for 87.18% of its listing price, which is far lower than the average we see on Long Beach Island. The median sales price of a single family home in Harvey Cedars was $974,000, and the average price per square foot was $549.63.

Sales in Harvey Cedars were certainly strong during the second quarter. Typically, the second quarter can be a very strong time on Long Beach Island.
