The Harvey Cedars real estate market showed improvement in the second quarter of 2013 with some of the highest activity on Long Beach Island. Long Beach Island continued to improve from the damage of Hurricane Sandy. With many of the questions answered about flood insurance, buyer confidence has been improving. Many buyers are also taking advantage of the unique investment opportunities presented. Harvey Cedars Real Estate Transactions in the Second Quarter of 2013

Sales of single family homes in Harvey Cedars were as follows:

  • 11 single family homes sold in Harvey Cedars
  • The average price of a single family home was  $1,159,318
  • On average, homes spent 158 days on the market

A total of over $12,700,000 worth of real estate sold during the second quarter. The median sales price of a single family home was $998,000 which is about in line with the average sales price of a single family home on LBI. . The least expensive home to sell was 8602 W Long Beach Blvd. This was a three bedroom, one bathroom home selling for $685,000. The most expensive home to sell was 5413-C Long Beach Blvd which was a five bedroom, four and a half bathroom home selling for $1,900,000. The average days on market was about the same as the rest of the LBI real estate market. As spring turned into summer, the LBI real estate market showed a steady increase in activity. Sales of both storm damaged and non-storm damaged homes improved.
