Long Beach Island Real Estate Agent

An LBI real estate agent is a licensed individual who has undergone training and background checks and has the ability to represent others in the purchase and sale of real estate. Each state has different licensing requirements and guidelines. A New Jersey real estate agent can represent others in the purchase and sale of real estate anywhere in the State of New Jersey but it is important to remember that real estate is local. Note that a real estate agent is different from a real estate broker who undergoes additional educational training.

LBI Real Estate Agent

Real estate is local and nowhere is this more apparent than on Long Beach Island. There are many different areas and nuances in the LBI real estate market that can constitute a massive difference in price. Some of the worst deals we see made are represented by out of area agents simply for the fact they do not understand the market. While a New Jersey real estate agent can represent sales anywhere in the state, it does not mean that he or she should! Real estate agents are generally only compensated through commission paid by the seller when a deal closes and must operate under a real estate brokerage. There are many different types of representation in the Long Beach Island real estate market including dual disclosed agency (a real estate agent represents BOHT the buyer and seller), a buyer’s agent (a real estate agent represents only the buyer), and a seller’s agent (a real estate agent represents only the seller).

Buying and Seller with a Real Estate Agent in the Long Beach Island Real Estate Market

Buyers and sellers should be aware that they do not HAVE to work with a real estate agent. Homeowners are allowed to represent themselves and likewise, a buyer can purchase a home directly from a homeowner. Working with a real estate does give you insight into the current trends, provides knowledge of the area, and statically will save you money.
