LBI NJ Rentals After Hurricane Sandy

Long Beach Island NJ Rentals After Hurricane Sandy

I am writing today to let you know our LBI office is up and running and fully functional.  More than half of the real estate agents at The Van Dyk Group have been displaced due to Hurricane Sandy but we are committed to helping all of you have a summer rental season on LBI.

Long Beach Island Information

You can check on the progress of gas being restored to the island at www.njng.com.  Gas has already been restored to most of Ship Bottom and Surf City as well as parts of North Beach and Brant Beach.

Long Beach Island NJ Rentals

Currently, we are asking homeowners of Long Beach Island NJ rentals to contact us as soon as your home is available for summer rental.  We need to be sure that work is completed before we take deposits for Long Beach Island NJ Rentals After Hurricane Sandy.  Our tenants will understandably want to be assured the house is in living condition before they send us a check. Once we hear from you that your home is “good to go”, we will send out an agent to do a visual inspection so we can personally ensure your tenant that the house is ready for occupancy.  We know many of you did not sustain any damage so hopefully, we will hear from many of you sooner rather than later.

If you have electric heat in your property or gas has been restored to your area, you may want to think about renting it out this winter.  There are many year-round families still looking for a home for the next few months while repairs are being made to their homes.  Please let us know if you want to be on the list of currently available properties.  We will put you and the prospective tenant in touch to work out the details. A Long Beach Island NJ Rentals After Hurricane Sandy for the winter would entail:

  • A tenant on a month to month basis
  • The rental agreement being through the homeowner and the tenant directly.
  • The Van Dyk Group will put the homeowner and the tenant into communication and will not charge a commission for this service.

Please let us know if we can help you with anything.  It is our goal to get LBI up and running as soon as possible. Please contact Nathan Colmer for more information!
