Luckily, LBI was quick to recover and the real estate market on Long Beach Island continued to show strong activity. Surf City Real Estate Market Sales During the Fourth Quarter of 2013

Surf City single family home sales are listed below:
  • Twelve single family homes sold in Surf City
  • The average sales price was $674,00
  • On average, homes spent 163 days on the market
A little over $8,000,000 worth of homes sold in Surf City during the fourth quarter. As expected, a number of the homes to sell were storm damaged properties. While these sales do drive the average price lower (since they are sold for land value with no consideration to the structure), they do show an improvement in buyer confidence When buyers are willing to spend around $400,000 for a storm damaged home and then another $400,000 to build a home shows buyers are willing to invest in the LBI real estate market! The least expensive home to sell was 273 S 1st Street. This was a four bedroom, one and half bathroom home selling for $375,00. The most expensive home to sell was 36 North 10th Street, a four bedroom, three and a half bathroom home selling for $1,425,000. This was in fact the only home to sell over $1,000,000 in Surf City.
