LBI Real Estate Property Locations

Long Beach Island New Jersey Real Estate Property Locations

Location is one of the most important factors when buying or selling real estate on Long Beach Island. Each area of LBI offers a unique lifestyle and value proposition—from oceanfront homes with stunning views to bayside properties perfect for boating, and inland neighborhoods that provide affordability and privacy. Popular locations include Oceanside, Bayside, Oceanfront, Bayfront, and Lagoon-front properties, each with its own advantages in terms of price, flood insurance requirements, and rental potential. Understanding these differences is key to finding the right home or investment in the LBI real estate market.

Bayblock Homes on LBI

Bayblock homes share many characteristics with Oceanblock homes...they are just located west of Long Beach Blvd. A Bayblock home on LBI will have no streets to cross between the house and the bay. These homes will often have a very nice view of the bay and sunset. Since they are closer to the bay, some bay block areas are more flood-prone (largely depending on if they are natural land or if they were filled in marsh). Not every part of LBI has a bay block, but they are peppered throughout the Island and are often found in Surf City, Ship Bottom and North Beach Haven.

If You're Considering a Home in the LBI Real Estate Market

Let me share with you the unique benefits of Bayblock homes! Having spent my entire life on the bayside, I can personally attest to the allure of these properties.

One of the standout features of Bayblock homes is their accessibility to the water—there are no streets to cross to reach the bay. This means you get to enjoy uninterrupted access to the stunning views and serene atmosphere that the bay offers right from your doorstep. The closer you are to the water, the better your view of the bay and the breathtaking sunsets that come with it!

Bayblock properties tend to be in quieter areas compared to the oceanside or other parts of the island. With less traffic, you can enjoy peace and tranquility, making it an ideal location for both year-round living and vacation homes. Additionally, you’ll find that Bayblock homes typically provide you with more space for your money compared to oceanside options, allowing you to purchase a larger or newer home without overspending.

It's Important to Note

Bayblock homes offer incredible benefits, understanding the specific characteristics of each property is crucial. The unique nature of each home, including its elevation and structure, can greatly influence factors like flood risk and insurance costs. Many Bayblock homes have been built or renovated to exceed current flood codes, making them a smart choice for your investment.

Overall, if you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic, and value-oriented option in the Long Beach Island area, Bayblock homes are truly worth considering. They provide an exceptional opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the bay with the convenience of easy access, all while potentially offering a great return on your investment. Let’s explore the options available to find your perfect Bayblock home!
