LBI Real Estate Summer 2022 Rental Market

The summer rental season is very strong for 2022. We witnessed a significant increase in bookings early on, many before Summer 2021 even ended! In large part due to COVID, Summer 2020 and Summer 2021 were extremely busy. Rentals booked quickly, and there was stiff competition among prospective tenants. Summer 2022 looks to be continuing this trend. Homes booked up quickly, and many tenants had difficulty finding what they are looking for. While some of the original demand was a result of COVID, many tenants have “discovered” LBI and look to be coming back again and again. This is promising for the future of the LBI real estate market as rentals are so impactful on the sales market and local businesses.

Of course, every year is unique and the rental season can always change. For example, we could have a hurricane that could cause a cancellation of many summer rentals, some people may opt for a different vacation after staying close to home for the past couple of years, or some other unforeseen event could occur.
