It was a busy weekend on Long Beach Island! Two fall events took place. Starting this past Friday, the skies of LBI were filled with kites! The annual International Kite Fest took place, which draws large crowds of visitors to see some amazing kites fly high on LBI! In additional to professional kite fliers, there are a number of events taking place all over LBI, including a fun “night fly”, children’s activities, craft shows, live music, and more. The event lasts the whole weekend and it is well worth a visit! In addition, the long-standing 18-mile run took place this weekend. This time honored event sees runners and walkers take on the challenge of running (or walking) the entire length of LBI (18 miles). The event starts in Holgate and ends in Barnegat Light.

Life on LBI-LBI Kite Fest
Fall is a beautiful and fun time on LBI. Most weekends, there is something to do on or near LBI. As we come into the next few weeks, we will see many local farms offer activities, Holloween parades and craft shows. If you can make the time, LBI is worth a trip in the offseason, especially on the weekends!
