Long Beach Island NJ (LBI NJ) Real Estate Market Update for November 29th 2022

LBI NJ Real Estate Sales Market Update November 29th 2022. Activity in the LBI real estate market today focused on the loss of inventory! There were no new listings entered in the MLS today, but 6 homes left the market. One went under contract, and the others were withdrawn for various reasons. While the number of homes for sale in the LBI real estate market has increased from its low point over the spring/summer of 2022, it is still only around a quarter of what it was pre-COVID. So long as this number stays low, buyers in the LBI real estate market will have a harder time finding the right home to purchase, and prices are likely to remain stable.

Homes can be withdrawn from the LBI real estate market for a number of reasons. Typically, it has to do with timing or with a personal matter. Since we are in the holiday season, which historically is a slow time in the LBI real estate market, it is not surprising to see some homes pulled from the market. It is likely we will see a slight increase in the number of homes for sale on Long Beach Island after the new year.
