The number of homes for sale in the LBI real estate market has, very slowly, been increasing, but we are still at a near-historic low. There are only a little over 100 single-family homes for sale on Long Beach Island. Last week's activity was a good indicator of this. There were 21 new listings that came on the market and 19 pending sales. This is near wash of new homes and pending sales. Today's activity echos the past week's activity with only 1 new listing and 2 pending sales. All in all, the LBI real estate market is still very strong, buyer confidence is high, and inventory is still the big challenge faced by most home buyers on Long Beach Island.
