Long Beach Island NJ (LBI NJ)
It is winter on LBI, and like most of the Northeast, things are cold and quiet! January saw the first real snowfall of the winter, and LBI had a few inches of accumulation! While things are quiet, there are still events taking place on and around LBI. Beach Haven School hosted its annual school play at The Surflight Theater in Beach Haven. This school-wide, and really town-wide event, has the majority of students in Beach Haven School act out a famous Disney play. This year was Aladdin and all the students and staff did a great job. LBI is also in the middle of restaurant week, where local restaurants offer special menus at great prices. It is worth a winter trip to LBI to see the Island in a different light, and absorb some local flavor!
Life on LBI-January Update
February is typically another quiet month on LBI, but there are still things taking place. Presents Weekend is always a busy time on Long Beach Island, and it is a good predictor of activity in the LBI real estate market for both sales and rentals. In many ways, it is the turning point of the market, and buyers and renters gear up for the summer season. President's Weekend also pays host to the annual Beach Haven Fire Company Turkey Dinner, which is one of their major fundraisers. Come eat some turkey cooked by the local firemen and help support a great local organization that works to keep us all safe!
