Surf City and Long Beach Island Real Estate

Surf City, an independent town on the north/middle section of Long Beach Island, has had a mixed 2019 compared to 2018. Unlike what we have seen in many areas of the LBI real estate market the average and median price fell in 2019 but activity increased quite a bit.

The average price was about $150,000 lower in 2019, something that is a bit of an anomaly when looking at other areas of the LBI real estate market. That said, with a higher number of homes sold, 49 in 2019 compared to 43 in 2018, there is no cause for alarm.



Long Beach Island Real Estate Market

So far the Long Beach Island real estate market has had a good year. About the same number of single family homes have sold in 2019 compared to 2018 but the average price is about $100,000 higher. As I point out above, Surf City goes against this trend but even with that it is safe to say that the Surf City market is having a good year so far.
