The LBI Real Estate Market

The first quarter of 2014 saw a much improved real estate market compared to 2013. While 2013 was dominated by the impact of Hurricane Sandy, 2014 has centered on the new improved Long Beach Island. Just about every street has seen new construction or home renovations take place. Small Cape Cods and storm damaged homes had been torn down to make way for elegant new homes, or have been renovated and possibly raised improving their overall. This significant investment in homes on Long Beach Island, to say nothing of the massive investment to infrastructure and beach replenishment projects, have helped change the face of Long Beach Island for the better. The area is now more storm ready than ever and the impact felt by any future storms will be limited. While Spray Beach Real Estate Sales in the First Quarter of 2014 did not see any closed transactions, the overall improvement of the real estate market on Long Beach Island is cause for celebration.
