Long Beach Island Real Estate Sales Market Update 8/27-2023-9/3/2023
It was a very busy week in the LBI real estate market. In fact, this was one of the most active weeks we have recently seen. For buyers looking for new inventory, this was a week to pay attention to! We saw over 20 new homes hit the market, many of which were "first-time" listings, meaning they had not been listed previously. Activity in the LBI real estate market for the past week was as follows:
21 new listings came up for sale in the LBI real estate market
18 home went under contract on LBI
8 home sold on Long Beach Island
3 homes saw a price reduction in the LBI real estate market

We have seen an increase in the number of new homes entering the LBI real estate market, which is normal for this time of year. As we have seen more inventory come up, we have seen an increase in buyer activity as well. This shows us how strong demand really is. When listings come on the market, they sell and tend to sell fast. While there were 21 new listings this week, there were also 18 pending sales, so the net gain to the market was only 3 houses! There are still less than 120 single family homes for sale in the LBI real estate market!
