The real estate market in Brighton Beach on Long Beach Island registered one sale during the first quarter of 2014. While this may seem low, it is important to remember that Brighton Beach is a very small section of Long Beach Township. For example, a look back at the first quarter of 2013 showed no closed sales. Real Estate Sales in Brighton Beach During the First Quarter of 2014 did show improvement which reflects the general appreciation of the LBI real estate market since Hurricane Sandy.

The nature of the real estate sale in Brighton Beach shows how confidence has returned to the LBI real estate market:

  • The only single family home to sell was 119 E New York Ave, an oceanfront home with 2,168 sq. feet

  • This home sold for $1,525,000 and spent only 64 days on the market

The fact that such an expensive home sold in such a short period of time shows how buyer activity has again focused on waterfront homes and how buyers are willing to pay a high price to live on Long Beach Island!

Overall, the Long Beach Island real estate market has shown tremendous improvement. One year ago, the LBI area was still dealing with the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy.
